Sarah and Peggy,

What an in-depth and stirring interview. I loved the weaving of yoga and memoir writing.

Thank you.

I loved this so much!! Thank you to you and Margaret. I am going to check out her book!

I really resonated with these lines:

“Teaching yoga, for me, is storytelling. It’s a conversation between myself and someone else’s body.”

- As a student and teacher of yoga and writing, I just really appreciate this line.

“Many, many hours on the mat, feeling my poses from the inside, prepared me to lead others on that journey of self-discovery. I had to feel it first, then let it go to teach it to others.”

- yes, I feel this too. The other day I was reflecting how the courses or books I read on Yoga was not necessarily makes me a “good” teacher, but being a student of myself for many years on and off the mat (and still the curious student) has cultivated wisdom I couldn’t have learned anywhere else! It’s gold!

“A yoga practice or a writing practice is a discipline.”

“I have written about the people I love most in all the world—what a privilege it is to convey that love out loud.”

- Yes, I feel this too when I write about my dad and beloved cat, Jax, who have passed.

❤️

i’m so glad to know the ways this spoke to you, dina! and YES it’s in the being a student of ourselves that we cultivate our wisdom ~ to be quiet, to listen deeply, then trust what lies within 💛💛 i look forward to hearing the ways peggy’s book speaks to you 💛💛
