A very belated Merry Christmas to you, dear one. And a happy Solstice, which is likely the origin of the tree in any case. I've always liked the idea that the pagan emphasis on the intimacy of our relationship with the natural world around and inside us sneaks in the door with the tree.

indeed, indeed dear friend (and i owe you a belated everything 😉)

are you familiar with the celtic tradition of the 12 days after christmas, aka the omen days???

I’ve never heard of them as Omen Days. Say more!

well, as best i understand, the 12 days after christmas correlate with the months of the upcoming year (ie December 26 = January and so on up to Jan 6). thus each day one has the opportunity to take a walk in nature, then listen, observe and record the moments to reflect upon what might be in the months ahead...i’m trying not to over research (yet) and just be with the process ~ but i’ll let you know 💛

“As I look skyward, I am in awe of the skeletal elegance of trees stripped bare, yet their branches still soar skywards like fragile lungs.” One of my most favorite things to do this time of year is look into the sky and see the bare branches against its vastness. What a wonder and marvel it is. Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas to you. Xoxo
